When Should I Go?
Shark fishing happens during the warmer Gulf months, which are generally from May to September. It’s also a great time to enjoy some time out on the water in general! What better time for a vacation in Galveston, Texas than later spring and summer?
What Sharks Can I Fish for in Galveston?
There are actually quite a few different types of sharks you can fish for in Galveston. These include:

Is Shark Fishing Family Friendly?
Yes and no. You can definitely take your family out with you on the charter boat and enjoy a nice day out on the water fishing. If you catch a shark, though, it’s important to ensure your children are far back when you pull the shark in. You also don’t want them getting anywhere near the shark, as it can still bite.
So, yes, you can bring your whole family, but you need to be very cautious when pulling in a shark.
Can I Eat Them?
