What Is the Bull Redfish Run?
Have you ever wanted to catch a massive, delicious fish? If so, the bull redfish is the one you’ve been looking for. These amazing fish gather just off the coast of Texas to spawn. The mature adults are enormous and can range from 15 to 20 pounds—sometimes even exceeding 40 whopping pounds!
So, when is the run? Good question.
The bull redfish run generally occurs between the months of September and November, when the temperature is cool. They move close to shore in large numbers to reproduce. This means plenty of opportunities to reel in the trophy fish you’ve always dreamt of.
