Gulf Fishing Sizzles in Summer!

Snapper Season

Galveston is synonymous with great gulf fishing. Add in summer, and it seems like you now have a personal invitation to get out on the water from the Gulf itself!

Spring is in full swing!Huge black drum

Black Drum, Redfish, Sheepshead, Sand Trout, Speckled Trout, and even Small Sharks are really biting right now! The great thing about these fish is that they put up a really good fight for all age groups – both the young and the young at heart.

There are only a few spots left for Spring Break fishing in Galveston, so if you are looking for a last minute outing/getaway, give us a call today!

Summer into Fall Fishing – book now!

Summer (and Fall!) is booking heavily right now, so there is some urgency to plan ahead as the world tries to get back to “normal” travel and activities. There is just nothing like getting out on the water with us. The warm air and warm waters are the perfect combination for your summer or fall “fishing trip of a lifetime”.

Throughout the summer, we are looking forward to catching Red Snapper, Mahi, King Mackerel and the ever popular, Shark (catch and release). In June and July, Red Snapper are spawning and catch a sharkthe waters are generally calmer than usual, making it the best time to catch these incredibly tasty fish! (Red Snapper season for 2021 runs officially from June 1 – August 2.)

Mahi Mahi is another delicious summer season catch. Mahi ups the “fun factor” as they are great fighters and fun to watch as they make great runs, jumps and spins in the air. Remember, you don’t have to concern yourself with HOW you are going to catch them, as we have everything you need!

If you are unsure of which trip to book, we will help plan the right trip for your group. Whichever season you choose, check out the Galveston fishing report to see what’s biting, or just give us a call when making your plans.

What to Bring?

We provide fuel for the boat, tackle, rod and reels, baits/lures, ice for the fish and ice cold bottled water. You will need to bring a Texas Saltwater Fishing License (a one day pass is fine), snacks, lunch, drinks (beer is OK in cans, plastic or metal – no glass) and an ice chest to bring your catch home.

For your sun and boat safety, don’t forget your sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and soft sole shoes (no boots please). Please read further details at: Galveston Charter Boats | What to Bring | What Not to Bring (wavedancercharters.com).Palapa

When we return to the dock, we will clean your catch and bag them for your trip home. Get in the shade of the Palapa on our private dock, relax on the swing and hang out while we clean the day’s catch for you.

Safety is a Wave Dancer Priority

As we said last month, we are “coastally distanced” and ready for you. But for us, safety is a priority every day, every year that we are in operation. We pride ourselves on maintaining our boats and our federal and state licensing and insurance, training our staff and extensive knowledge of all the current season’s requirements.

We take fishing and our customers’ safety very seriously. Know that when you fish with us, you are fishing with our “family”. Rest assured that you will always feel that your family is safe on a Wave Dancer Charter.

Make a new family tradition this summer with the best in Galveston fishing charters!
