There is a lot of preparation needed before one of our guests even steps aboard. These preparations include:
Haul Out and Bottom Paint. In order to improve fuel efficiency, reduce drag, and ensure ships run smoothly, it’s important to both haul out boats and paint the bottoms of each vessel.
Engine Maintenance. Without a working engine, things can go horribly wrong. We ensure our engines are in amazing condition to provide reliable, safe trips out on the Gulf.
Safety Systems and Equipment Checks. We meticulously check all safety gear, communication equipment, navigation systems, and more to ensure a safe and comfortable fishing experience.
Tackle, Rigging, and Deck Readiness. We don’t want you to start reeling in a big one only for the rod, reel, or line to run into a major issue that leads to that once-in-a-lifetime fish getting away. We check reels, rods, lines, tackle, deck organization, and more to make sure that flavorful, trophy fish doesn’t get away.

At Wave Dancer Charters, we offer an all-inclusive experience. We provide you with not only a boat with a fantastic captain, but also baits/lures, rods and reels, tackle, ice for the fish, and water for when you get parched. Once we get back to the dock, we’ll help clean the outstanding fish you caught and prep them for your trip home.
Our captains know all the top spots and what to look for when catching fish that are active any time of the year. All you have to worry about is showing up on time, and bringing your family, Texas Saltwater Fish License (day pass is okay), and all of your essentials for the day (sunscreen, food, camera, seasickness medication, etc.). If you would like a full list of what you should bring, let us know. If you want to bring beer that’s fine. Just make sure it is of the canned variety.
