A new toy to play…uh, I mean fish with…
I am excited to announce that we are ready to book Charters on the Wave Dancer 2! This boat is longer, wider, and faster than the old Wave Dancer. Wave Dancer 2 will be available for close offshore jetty trips, shark trips and ALL our deep sea trips.
WD-2 has substantially more room for you and your guests and provides a much more comfortable ride on the deep seas. WD-2 is equipped with a flat screen TV, DVD player and XM Radio for your enjoyment, IPhone and Android charging station for your convenience and the very latest in navigational and safety equipment for your total peace of mind on your trip.
The Wave Dancer 2 is a 46′ Bertram Sportfishing Convertible Yacht. This yacht has all the comforts of home – on the sea! You have got to see her in person, but so you can “imagine” and fully share in my excitement, she has:
- A full galley (kitchen)
- 2 heads (bathrooms)
- Very comfortable salon (living room)
- 2 nice state rooms (bedrooms)
The fish are hot, hot, hot (and so is the weather)
Summer is always the best season for both inshore and offshore fishing! King Mackerel, Flounder, Red Drum are notable for June through August. But the best two reasons to get on the boat with us this summer belong to the Red Snapper and the shark. 
Red Snapper season is short and runs June through July. If you have ever tasted fresh red snapper, you know why it is so popular! And summer is the only time to come down and catch a nice shark. Sharks are a challenge to reel in and make for great pictures and stories to last a lifetime!
Jetties are inshore fish magnets, and although jetties can produce fish year round, summer is when they really shine. Fishing the jetties can yield Kingfish (King Mackerel), and Bull Reds in the summer’s heat of July and August.

Captain joins Wave Dancer family
Wave Dancer Charters is pleased to welcome Captain Donnie Wood to our crew. Donnie grew up right here in Galveston and began fishing with his dad when he was just 4 years old. At 8, he had won his first tournament.
In his 34 years, he has fished all over the Galveston Bay and offshore waters out of Galveston and has over fifty tournaments to his name. An excellent fisherman with all types of game fish, Capt. Donnie has a special passion for trophy size Flounder.
Donnie is a great captain, great with kids and loves putting people on the fish of their lifetime.
